Archaeological site “The Оld Municipality”
The archaeological site was studied in 2006. Below the level of a medieval necropolis, from the 11th – 14th century AD, remains of an ancient architectural complex was found. Part of a public building, 5th century BC, cistern with plumbing, end of 4th – beginning of 5th century BC, and fragments of the walls, IV century BC, were preserved. During Hellenistic period, above the early remains, a dwelling with three rooms was built at this place, 3rd – 2nd century BC. The site was restored in 2010 and preserves the remains of the foundations of the Old Municipality, as well as a cistern from the beginning of the 20th century AD in which water for the needs of the local Fire station was stored.
