It is located in the Old town of Sozopol on 34, Cyril and Methodius Street. The building is restored in its authentic look and offers a view of the picturesque bay of Sozopol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large caption-align-center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/sozopol-museums.bg\/wp-content\/uploads\/\/04-2-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1364\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sozopol-museums.bg\/wp-content\/uploads\/04-2-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/sozopol-museums.bg\/wp-content\/uploads\/04-2-500x375.jpg 500w, https:\/\/sozopol-museums.bg\/wp-content\/uploads\/04-2-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/sozopol-museums.bg\/wp-content\/uploads\/04-2.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption>The museum<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On the first floor of the exposition are presented traditional local crafts &#8211; agriculture, fisheries, wine making, weaving and etc. Together with the agricultural implements, the coziness of the former Sozopol house with the repast (<em>sofra<\/em>) and the fireplace around it, filled with kitchen utensils, was recreated. Emphasis is placed on fishing gear and accessories. The ancient charm of Sozopol is richly illustrated with photographs and documents from the beginning of the 20<sup>th<\/sup> century.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/sozopol-museums.bg\/wp-content\/uploads\/\/07-4-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1370\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sozopol-museums.bg\/wp-content\/uploads\/07-4-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/sozopol-museums.bg\/wp-content\/uploads\/07-4-375x500.jpg 375w, https:\/\/sozopol-museums.bg\/wp-content\/uploads\/07-4-1152x1536.jpg 1152w, https:\/\/sozopol-museums.bg\/wp-content\/uploads\/07-4.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On the secound floor are presented traditional fabrics and clothing, characteristic of the ethnographic groups of Ruptci, Zagortci and Tronki, inhabiting Sozopol and the coastal Strandzha region in the 18th &#8211; 19th centuries. The beautiful costumes, tablecloths, colorful rugs and aprons, pillows and cuffs are all part of the multicolor, which illustrates the high aesthetic criteria and the aspiration for beauty of the Bulgarian woman. An important element of the exposition module are the jewelry from the Revival period \u2013 decorated belt buckles (<em>pafta<\/em>), bracelets, rings, earrings and etc. In a short narration with illustrations, the traditional customs, typical for Sozopol region, are recreated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"666\" src=\"https:\/\/sozopol-museums.bg\/wp-content\/uploads\/\/08-3-1024x666.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1372\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sozopol-museums.bg\/wp-content\/uploads\/08-3-1024x666.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/sozopol-museums.bg\/wp-content\/uploads\/08-3-500x325.jpg 500w, https:\/\/sozopol-museums.bg\/wp-content\/uploads\/08-3-768x499.jpg 768w, https:\/\/sozopol-museums.bg\/wp-content\/uploads\/08-3.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Monumental woodcarving, festive costumes, marriage certificates and photographs tell in a unique way about the traditional Bulgarian wedding. In two of the rooms is presented the urban life, associated with the entry and spread of European cultural traditions from the end of the 19<sup>th<\/sup> &#8211; beginning of the 20<sup>th<\/sup> century. The Greek-speaking population is considered to be the bearer of these cultural influences, despite the prevailing Bulgarian appearance of the city in modern times.
